Position: Accounts Payable Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in managing our accounts payable processes and ensuring financial accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather invoices, organize them into batches by due date with clear descriptions of their purpose, and mark them as paid by the designated deadline
  • Obtain approval of the pre-check register from the designee.
  • Maintain organized records of paid invoices on a weekly basis.
  • Manage monthly tasks, such as preparing and issuing payments in alignment with organizational procedures.
  • Process recurring bills and input data into the appropriate systems on a bi-monthly basis.
  • Keep files for regular payments, including leases, loans, and other periodic obligations, up to date.
  • Review financial records and prepare periodic spending reports to ensure accuracy and support program operations.
  • Generate and submit reports as required to facilitate financial decision-making.
  • Provide necessary documentation and support during audits and other financial reviews.

Qualifications:

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in accounts payable processes and financial reporting.
  • Experience with databases and financial management systems is preferred.
  • Ability to manage deadlines and handle multiple tasks effectively.
