The Hyatt Place Fort Worth/TCU is looking for Barbacks to join the Lot 12 team! Our upscale rooftop bar boasts an open-air terrace with stunning views, providing the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable experience. Located on TCU's campus, we attract a diverse and lively crowd, especially during football season. At Lot 12, we pride ourselves on our family-like atmosphere where co-workers become friends.

A Barback is an assistant to the Bartender. They ensure bartenders have the supplies they need to provide service to customers. A Barback has many responsibilities like stocking, restocking and keeping their work area clean.

Essential Functions:

• Keep the bar stocked with liquor, syrups, glasses, napkins and all other necessary items before and during service hours.
• Prepare garnishes, refill ice wells, change beer kegs and restock napkins and straws.
• Clean up the spills, remove the glassware and organize the counter.
• Keep the bar area neat and clean.
• Coordinate with managers, kitchen staff and security personnel to ensure efficient service to customers.
• Handle emergency situations, like cleaning up broken glasses and clearing up clogged drains.

Requirements

• Available to work evenings/ weekends including TCU football games
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum age to serve alcohol.
• Courteous, friendly personality and professional appearance.
• Knowledge of menu items, including beers, wines, cocktails, and liquors.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Ability to handle tense- high demand situations with coworkers and customers calmly and rationally.
• Observant and thorough.
• Responsible, punctual.
• Ability to meet physical and scheduling demands of the position, including, walking, standing, or lifting heavy items for extended periods of time.
