About the Role:

We are seeking a high-energy, entrepreneurial, and strategic Brand Storyteller & Product Merchant. This position requires strong branding, copywriting, and editorial skills and the ability to report and incorporate e-commerce analytics . The successful candidate understands brand positioning & marketing within fashion and lifestyle categories and has established leadership abilities.

This role reports directly to the CEO/Creative Director and plays a key part in turning our brand vision into compelling merchandising and marketing strategies. Compensation incentive—reflective of growth/ROI.

Key Responsibilities:

• Brand & Product Expertise: Develop deep knowledge of our product line, brand heritage, and creative process to authentically represent the Will Leather Goods identity.
• e-commerce Merchant Strategy: Build and manage a merchandising calendar that supports product launches, marketing initiatives, and retail growth objectives. Increase sales. Synthesize and communicate e-commerce analytics.
• Cross-Functional Communication: Provide product merchandising content and storytelling support to internal teams across eCommerce, wholesale, retail stores, social media, and affiliate marketing .
• Content Strategy & Copywriting: Create and oversee brand-aligned copy for web, email campaigns, social media, lookbooks, and printed collateral—translating merchandising goals into compelling narratives.
• Visual Asset Creation: Collaborate with the CEO to define visual storytelling strategy; manage photography and video production using internal and external resources.
• Editorial Development: Lead the content plan for our digital journal/blog in partnership with the CEO and social media manager.
• Brand Storytelling: Analyze product collections and synthesize themes into powerful brand stories that resonate across customer segments.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience as an e-commerce brand merchant, quality fashion marketing , and/or lifestyle branding.
• Exceptional copywriting, storytelling, and content creation abilities.
• Strong visual sensibility and understanding of quality retail aesthetics .
• Demonstrated experience with content strategy, creative direction, and cross-channel merchandising .
• Proficiency in tools like Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, or similar creative platforms is a plus.
• Highly collaborative with a proactive, entrepreneurial mindset.
