Job Description

TRC’s client is a leader in commercial construction and general contracting looking for a Bridge Construction Project Manager to join their growing team on a full-time, direct hire basis in the Eastern NC area. 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Develop comprehensive project plans including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
• Oversee all phases of bridge construction projects, from preliminary design and engineering to construction and final handover.
• Manage multidisciplinary project teams, including engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and laborers.
• Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and value optimization.
• Track expenses and prepare financial reports, ensuring that projects remain within budget.
• Maintain effective communication throughout the project lifecycle, providing regular updates on progress and addressing concerns
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
• Identify and mitigate risks associated with project delays, cost overruns, and safety hazards.
• Develop contingency plans and proactively manage potential project disruptions.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in project management, with a focus on bridge or heavy civil construction.
• Proven experience managing large-scale infrastructure or bridge construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction management software (e.g., Primavera, MS Project) and budgeting tools.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local construction regulations and safety standards.
