Job Title: Structural Bridge Design Engineer

Overview:

We are seeking a self-motivated Structural Bridge Design Engineer to join our collaborative team. This role focuses on designing bridges and transportation-related structures for DOT and similar clients. Projects vary from small-scale bridge rehabilitations and replacements to large, multi-million-dollar infrastructure designs.

Key Responsibilities:

The following duties represent the core functions of this position, though additional tasks may be assigned:

• Independently produce structural and bridge design plans, calculations, and technical reports.
• Lead design efforts to ensure high-quality deliverables within budget and schedule constraints.
• Maintain accountability for client satisfaction and successful project execution.
• Occasionally perform fieldwork, including construction and bridge inspections.
• Support other duties as needed.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution (required).
• Master's degree in Civil Engineering (preferred).
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in bridge design.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in Georgia (required); Structural Engineer (SE) license is a plus.
• Experience with DOT projects, especially within Georgia.
• Proficiency in MicroStation CAD and structural design software.
• Strong verbal, written, and organizational communication skills.
• Experience with 1D or 2D bridge hydraulic modeling software is a plus.
