Strata is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented candidate to join our Accounting and Finance Team. This entry-level position is responsible for executing a range of business accounting functions. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate initiative, possess a strong sense of urgency, and are committed to delivering accurate and timely results. This person will work with team members, contractors and vendors daily and must represent Strata in a professional manner. This person must be able to work within a team environment and independently while upholding professional ethics.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
• Manage invoicing, payment tracking and follow-up communications.
• Support payroll, timesheet, expense report and PTO processing.
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
• Assist with financial reporting and budget tracking.
• Prepare purchase orders, support procurement activities, and track project budgets.
• Manage shared inboxes and respond to internal and external inquiries.
• Issues sales tax certificates and ensure compliance.

QUALIFICATIONS & ATTRIBUTES

• Experience: 1-2 years of internship and/or work experience in accounting or finance functions.
• Required Skills
• • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Working knowledge of basic bookkeeping and financial principles.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Effective and professional written and verbal communication skills across teams, clients, and contractors.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively.
  • Upholds confidentiality and professional ethics.

• Education: Recent or upcoming graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Excel (including chart creation, cell formatting, and pivot tables), and PowerPoint.
• Confidentiality: Must be able to work under attorney/client privilege and respect and uphold Strata and client confidentiality.
• Physical Activity: must be able to climb stairs; must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
• Transportation: Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
• Travel: Must be willing and able to travel domestically on rare occasions.
• Authorization to Work: Must be currently authorized to work in the United States.
• Screenings: Must pass initial and ongoing background checks and drug and alcohol screenings.
