INTERNATIONAL CARGO MANAGER - JOB OVERVIEW AND RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for all U.S. Aviation International Cargo contracts. In addition, supports all corporate and local initiatives to drive optimal performance at the station while promoting a safe environment for internal/external customers and preserving our corporate culture. Assures the operation is compliant with all regulatory and corporate policies. Is actively involved in local airport operations and cargo community. Below are your responsibilities but not limited to: Compliance oversight of International Operation; All Nippon Airlines, Asiana and any additional international airline we may service in the future Checking that all paperwork and procedures are in order according to international regulations Examine import/export declarations, invoices, and other relevant documents to verify accuracy and completeness Collaborating with customs officials and other government agencies to obtain necessary clearances/approvals Staying informed about changes in customs regulations and international trade laws and policies. Establish service standards for US Aviation Cargo / Airport operations and develop measurement tools to ensure standards are met Ensures all Company and Governmental policies, procedures and mandates which include, but are not limited to safety, training, administration/payroll, staffing, leadership development, security directives, manuals, tariffs, CMIS, FAA, DOT, TSA, CBP and other contractual requirements and serve as SME for Operations interface with the FAA, DOT, TSA, USDA, CBP and OSHA Oversee Cargo Audit and Compliance including the Safety Management System (SMS) Develop operating strategies that improve performance and enhance US Aviation's reputation as a Cargo Handler Maintain a positive interactive relationship with the Cargo teams to assist and support in developing strategies and programs aimed to increase revenue, while reducing exposure to penalties/fines, claims and losses Promote and maintain the Safety program; ensure OSHA and safety compliance; Audit compliance is adhered to Coordinate, monitor and ensure compliance for all local, safety and regulatory training requirements Internal / External Customer Interaction; Interfacing with customers, other department counterparts and peers Develop operating strategies that improve performance and enhance US Aviation's reputation Expected to work closely to motivate and promote growth/advancement through a consistent and fair application of coaching and counseling, while setting the example of a positive role model Coordinate, monitor and ensure compliance for all local, safety and regulatory training requirements Working with the Cargo Trainer to ensure training requirements are met Follow through with CBT Take Off Learning Ensure all Claims, Losses & Customer concerns are handled timely and properly Hold agents & leaders accountable for controllable failures (must communicate with General Manager) Conduct Weekly/Monthly safety briefings Assist KOA & OGG in times of need Must have flexible schedule, Valid driver's License and Must be available to work weekends.
