Position Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Engineer to support the Air Force’s Enterprise Supply Chain Analysis, Planning, and Execution (ESCAPE) program. This role is critical to the administration, integration, and optimization of the ESCAPE Dev and ODS GovCloud environments. The engineer will work closely with the Functional System Management Office (FSMO) and third-party vendors to ensure secure, scalable, and mission-ready cloud infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
Administer and maintain AF-managed GovCloud environments (Dev and ODS)
Ensure all cloud operations comply with DoDM 8140.03 and DoD 8570.01 IA Baseline Certification standards
Maintain and document all configurations, ensuring traceability and audit readiness
Collaborate with Cloud One and PTC SaaS teams to support seamless integration of third-party platforms
Monitor and enhance system performance, ensuring minimal latency and high availability for mission-critical applications
Create and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, SOPs, and security artifacts
Work with cross-functional teams including cybersecurity, data engineering, and program management
Qualifications
Proficiency in AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, or similar platforms.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
Familiarity with AF Cloud One a plus
Active DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II or higher certification (e.g., Security+, CISSP).
Strong understanding of network security, identity management, and zero-trust architecture.
Experience supporting Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC) or similar logistics IT environments.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevSecOps pipelines.
Strong communication and documentation skills.
Education
Bachelor's degree in computer science from four-year college or university; or minimum of 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience
5+ years of experience in cloud engineering, preferably within DoD or federal environments.
