PAID Training from Day One! This apprenticeship program combines hands-on work experience with classroom learning. After completing 2,000 hours of training, you'll graduate directly into a permanent position as a Community Health Worker at Community Health Center.

What You'll Learn & Do:

• Provide basic health screenings and preventive care
• Guide community members on health, nutrition, and self-care
• Connect people with medical services and social programs
• Teach health education classes and life skills
• Work with diverse populations and provide cultural support
• Help people navigate the healthcare system
• Maintain client records and track progress
• Create health education programs
• Collect and analyze community health data

Community Health Worker Apprenticeship Program

• Paid apprenticeship approved by the Department of Labor and funded by Health Resources and Services Administration
• 2,000 hours of paid on-the-job training, starting from day one

Requirements

• High School Diploma
• Communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage diverse populations.
• Familiarity with data collection methods and tools for assessing community health needs.
• Proficiency in motivational interviewing techniques or willingness to be trained in this area.
• A compassionate approach towards individuals facing health challenges, particularly those related to addiction or chronic diseases.
