Description Sports Instructors - Conestoga The Conestoga Recreation and Aquatic Center is now hiring Sports Instructors for fall preschool, youth, and adult programming! Instructors are needed in these areas:
•Preschool Level Sports Introduction
•Basketball
•Pickleball
•Soccer
•Tennis
•Volleyball
We are seeking community and safety oriented individuals with a desire to share their passion for recreation with a wide range of age groups and people. Our classes are attended by the community at large, (all ages, abilities, backgrounds, and interests) and we seek team members who can support the needs of individuals as well as manage group dynamics.
Instructors keep our patrons safe: physically, by gauging and adjusting programming to meet each patron's ability and skill level; mentally, by encouraging and building a positive community with our patrons; and by supporting patrons in adhering to our policies and procedures, to help us maintain safer environments for all.
Hours: Staff are typically scheduled from 2 to 29 hours per week; between 8:30 am - 8:00 pm throughout the week along with opportunities on Saturdays and Sundays. Part-time employees are scheduled variable hours and may work less than 1,560 hours per year.
Positions: - Instructor I : No teaching experience required, must love working with people of all ages and abilities; able to work inside and outside; and be at least 16 years of age.
- Instructor II : Must have at least 1 year of experience in leading and instructing general classes and be at least 16 years of age.
- Instructor III : Must have over 1 year of experience and specialized training in the assigned program area; and be 18 years of age and have a valid driver's license.
All positions:
- Current CPR, First Aid, AED certification, OR willing to obtain/renew upon hire

Leave - Paid Time Off - Paid leave type for part-time variable and part-time benefits (PTB) eligible employees. Paid Time Off (PTO), will accrue at a rate of one (1) hour earned for every 30 hours worked. This is in addition to Sick leave and may be scheduled by employees for any reason! (available to PT and PTB only)
- The ability to earn and utilize up to forty (40) hours of paid sick leave per year
- Family Medical Leave eligibility for qualified family and medical related reasons
- Paid compassionate leave is available to all part-time employees to grieve the loss of an immediate family member, to make arrangements (if necessary), and to attend memorial services. Employees are eligible for paid compassionate leave for up to the hours scheduled in their average work week.
