Salary: $46,000- $62,000/year* + profit sharing + benefits

*Range depends on skill level and overall experience.

What You’d Do in This Role:

We’re on the hunt for a highly skilled, detail-obsessed Copy Editor with a sharp eye, a love for language, and a ridiculously high work ethic. This role isn’t for a writer who edits on the side—we’re looking for someone who lives and breathes editing copy. You’ll work across a wide variety of content—articles, web pages, emails, and paid ads—focusing on topics like taxes, investing, insurance, real estate and wills. From fact-checking stats and math (yes, numbers too!) to shaping the big-picture flow and polishing every last detail, you’ll ensure our content is both accurate and compelling.

You’ll join the RamseyTrusted team, a group of 200+ team members (including 15 writers!) who are passionate about creating life-changing content, and you’ll collaborate closely with our tight-knit team of nine copy editors. Together, you’ll sharpen each other’s skills while helping millions of people take control of their money and their futures.

You’re Probably a Match If:

• You have 3+ years of professional copy editing experience (i.e., not just editing your college roommate’s papers)
• You have expertise in the AP Stylebook of Style and the ability to adapt to in-house style guides
• You have proficiency in editing electronically with Microsoft Word’s track changes feature (familiarity with Adobe InCopy and CMS platforms is a plus)
• You have strong communication skills, an ability to manage consistent work with varying deadlines, and a spirit of collaboration for working with writers, marketers and team leaders
• You have an open mind and teachable spirit—we don’t edit like other companies, so sometimes we break the rules (but you have to know the rules to break them)

What Winning Looks Like:

• Ensuring every written piece is edited with excellence and promptly returned to the original writer for finalization
• Serving as a fact-checker in every written piece to verify the accuracy of math, statistics, Scripture references, names, dates, phone numbers, addresses, URLs, etc.
• Making sure all written content is in line with Ramsey Solutions’ message, statistics, tone and voice and helping with the ongoing development of content and guidelines
• Building authority and trust and contributing strategically to RamseyTrusted in team meetings and throughout the content creation process
• Collaborating with other copy editors to create standards for the editing team
