Associate – Investment Funds Regulatory
Location: Chicago, Washington, D.C., or New York

Practice Group: Investment Funds Regulatory
Direct Counsel is representing an Am Law 100 firm that’s seeking a skilled associate attorney with 3+ years of experience in asset management regulation to join its Investment Funds Regulatory group.
In This Role, You Will:
Advise on compliance with the Investment Advisers Act and Investment Company Act
Counsel investment advisers, family offices, and global financial institutions
Support the formation and operation of private equity, hedge, credit, and real estate funds
Handle matters related to SEC exams, investigations, and enforcement
Collaborate with white collar teams on complex regulatory issues
What We’re Looking For:
Strong knowledge of the 1940 Acts (Advisers & Company Acts)
Prior experience in private fund formation is a plus
Excellent communication, analytical, and drafting skills
Prior law firm experience and strong academic record
