Our Client, a Prestigious University , is looking for a Data Architect to join their team in Remotely In Phoenix, AZ!

Pay: $64-69/hour

Fully REMOTE! Must work Phoneix Arizona Time Zone (PST/ MST)

***This is a 3 Month Contract to Hire Position (will go perm after 3 months!***

Data Architect working on projects in the marketing department to design and implement scalable ETL/ELT pipelines in AWS

Responsibilities

1. Data Engineering & Pipeline Development

• Design and implement scalable ETL pipelines for ML model training and inference.

• Manage structured and unstructured data to support AI workflows.

• Optimize data storage, retrieval, and processing workflows using AWS (Glue, Athena, S3, Lambda, Step Functions).

• Ensure data governance, security, and compliance across ML pipelines.

2. Cloud & Infrastructure Management

• Deploy and scale ML models efficiently using AWS services (SageMaker, EC2, Glue, CloudWatch, CloudTrail).

• Create and manage IAM roles to ensure secure model access and execution.

• Automate infrastructure provisioning and ML workflow orchestration using Terraform (good to have experience).

• Leverage serverless architectures and cloud-native solutions to optimize cost and performance.

3. Machine Learning & AI Integration

• Develop and deploy LLM-based AI solutions for content marketing, personalization, and automation.

• Implement feature engineering and data preprocessing for robust model training.

• Ensure ML models are production-ready with MLOps best practices (CI/CD pipelines, automated retraining, model monitoring).

• Stay up to date with emerging AI trends and cloud innovations to drive continuous improvements.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree
• 6+ years of experience in data engineering, cloud-based data pipelines, and analytics enablement.
• Strong Python skills (Non-Negotiable), with expertise in PyTorch, Scikit-learn.
• Deep understanding of data engineering principles: ETL, feature engineering, and data preprocessing.
• Proficiency in AWS services: S3, Athena, Glue, Lambda, SageMaker, Step Functions, EC2.
• Experience designing and managing IAM roles & security policies.
• Nice to have Experience building ML pipelines and deploying models in production.
• Bachelor’s degree
• 6+ years of experience in data engineering, cloud-based data pipelines, and analytics enablement.
• Proven track record of designing and implementing scalable ETL/ELT pipelines in AWS.
