We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing outstanding patient care and a commitment to excellence in their profession. This is a full-time, permanent position offering a rewarding opportunity to work alongside our highly skilled dental professionals, where you can utilize your extensive skills and experience in patient care, dental assisting, sterilization techniques, patient education, and office administration.
Responsibilities:
1. Assist dentists during dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
2. Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment using appropriate sterilization techniques.
3. Take dental radiographs (X-rays) and process them for the dentist's analysis.
4. Provide patient education on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and other dental health topics.
5. Prepare examination and surgical rooms by sterilizing instruments and moving necessary equipment into place.
6. Assist in office administration tasks such as scheduling appointments, maintaining patient records, and managing patient billing.
7. Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, including adherence to infection control protocols.
8. Assist with or perform laboratory duties such as pouring and trimming models, constructing custom impression trays, and fabricating temporary restorations.
9. Work collaboratively with the dental team to ensure a positive, professional, and efficient patient experience.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Dental Assistant.
2. Completion of an accredited Dental Assisting program.
3. Current Dental Assisting certification.
4. Proficiency in dental software for patient record management and appointment scheduling.
5. Excellent knowledge of dental instruments, sterilization techniques, and infection control protocols.
6. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to educate patients on dental health and hygiene.
7. Ability to handle a high volume of patients with professionalism and empathy.
8. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
9. Knowledge of office administration tasks, including scheduling, billing, and record keeping.
10. Current CPR certification.
