The Director of Project Management oversees the project management team in strategic planning, execution, and delivery of complex projects across multiple service areas and locations. The Director works closely with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards

What You Would Do
  • Develop and implement project management strategies that align with the PDT’s goals, methodology, and client needs.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the project management team, ensuring effective planning, execution, and delivery of projects.
  • Direct the planning, execution, and monitoring of multiple projects, ensuring that they meet the defined objectives, timelines, and budgets. Implement best practices and methodologies to drive project success.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders by understanding client needs and expectations to ensure projects are delivered to their satisfaction.
  • Act as the main point of contact for high-level project discussions and negotiations.
  • Mentor and support project managers and other team members through fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture within the project management team and providing training and development opportunities to enhance team capabilities.
  • Identify potential project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and resolve project issues proactively to minimize impact on project outcomes.
  • Collaborate cross-departmentally (technology, sales, and operations, etc) to ensure seamless project integration and alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Facilitate effective communication and coordination across teams.
  • Provide regular updates and reports on project status, performance metrics, and client feedback to senior management.
  • Analyze project outcomes and identify opportunities for process improvements.
What We Are Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • A Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management within the technology sector, with a proven track record of managing large-scale and complex projects.
  • Experience in enterprise network and security, hybrid cloud, end-user experience, cybersecurity, and physical security is highly desirable.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Excellent client relationship management and communication abilities. Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a diverse team of professionals.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to travel throughout Midwest and US, as needed.
