What you will be doing as the Distribution Manager:
- Oversee operational aspects of the Distribution Center, ensuring accurate, safe, and efficient movement of goods.
- Define, track, and manage Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), driving accountability and continuous improvement across teams.
- Manage WMS, WCS, and WHS technologies to streamline operations, monitor real-time workflows, and reduce downtime.
- Oversee inventory control processes to maintain accurate stock levels, ensure FIFO/FEFO compliance, and reduce obsolescence or loss.
- Maintain budgetary oversight, including distribution operating budget and expenses along with staffing levels and productivity to maintain a cost-effective operation.
- Oversee, implement, and maintain compliance with company and OSHA guidelines to create and maintain a safe working environment for all associates.
- Display service-oriented behavior and is responsive to customer's requests with the appropriate level of urgency.
- Promote a strong sense of teamwork and a culture of respect by working together safely, effectively, respectfully and efficiently with all associates.
- Mentor, train and develop all leadership associates to encourage professional growth.
What you will need as the Distribution Manager:
- You have a BA or BS degree paired with a minimum of 7-10 years of experience in Distribution or Inventory Management.
- You have advanced ability with the Microsoft Office suite of applications as well as WMS, WCS, WHS, and ERP systems.
- Your interpersonal skills enable you to effectively interact with operating and executive management along with hourly teammates - adjusting your delivery based on your audience.
- Highly skilled in inventory control practices, including cycle counting, reconciliation, root cause analysis, and minimizing shrinkage.
- You display service-oriented behavior and are responsive to internal and external customer requests with the appropriate level of urgency.
- Prioritize safety, followed closely by quality and efficiency in operations.
- Experience in transportation management and contract negotiation.
- You have demonstrated the ability to construct effective training procedures and make delivering high quality training a priority.
