Summary: OCS is seeking a dedicated and organized individual to fill the role of eSports Lab and Aftercare Supervisor. This role involves overseeing our eSports lab and aftercare program during afterschool hours. The ideal candidate will have a passion for technology, education, eSports, and creating a safe and productive learning environment for students. This position requires a calling to use God-given talents to further the Kingdom of God. The eSports Lab and Aftercare Supervisor is expected to be a minister to the OCS community through actions, speech, attitude, and prayer, as they point students to Christ.

Essential Functions:

• Supervision and Coaching:
  • Supervise students during aftercare and eSports practice sessions and matches.
  • Provide coaching and strategic guidance for games including Smash Brothers, Minecraft, Valorant, and Rocket League.
  • Foster teamwork, sportsmanship, and a positive gaming culture.
• Technical Support:
  • Ensure all gaming equipment, PCs, consoles, and network systems are functioning properly.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to hardware and software.
  • Maintain and update gaming systems, ensuring they are in peak condition for practice and competition.
• Lab Management:
  • Oversee the eSports lab environment, ensuring it is clean, safe, and conducive to focused practice and competition.
  • Manage the scheduling and organization of the lab, including practice times and tournaments.
  • Implement and enforce lab policies and procedures to ensure a respectful and productive atmosphere.
• Event Coordination:
  • Assist in planning and organizing eSports events, including intramural competitions and external tournaments.
  • Coordinate with other schools and eSports organizations for matches and events.
  • Manage event logistics, including setup, breakdown, and equipment transportation.
• Student Development:
  • Mentor students in developing their gaming skills, strategic thinking, and overall performance.
  • Encourage academic balance and prioritize the development of life skills through gaming.
  • Promote a Christ-centered approach to competition and personal growth.
• General Duties:
  • Supervision of students to ensure safety and welfare in the aftercare room.
  • Maintain accurate attendance records of all students in the aftercare room.
  • Assist and direct students with homework completion.
