Job Description

We're adding Event HVAC Assistants at Leaphart's Specialty Air & Power that are available during the week and weekends for event installations and strikes. This person doesn't need any prior experience working with HVAC or power distribution and will be trained to safely work with both types of equipment and service. This person does not need to have prior event experience, but it is a nice piece of experience to have considering how different the event industry is compared to more traditional HVAC jobs, such as residential, construction or industrial (all HVAC segment categories we do not work in). Are you forklift certified? Awesome if you are, if you're not, we'll get you certified. Responsibilities and requirements include the following, but are not limited to:

• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Regular travel across the state of Florida. Overnight stays are required often. Company vehicles are provided and if a personal vehicle is used for work, a mileage fee of .70 (per mile) is paid in your bi-weekly paycheck. Tow mileage is $1.25 (per mile).
• Must have consistent availability during the week (Monday through Friday). Weekend dates will be available for work as well.
• Manual labor is required. Candidate must be able to lift 50 pounds safely and consistently as moving equipment i.e. heavy cables, ductwork, ladders and power distribution boxes will be vital to the success at our event sites.
• Speaking with event partners on-site - checking in before, during and after an event to make sure their expectations were successfully set and met for everything we do on-site. All on-site paperwork must be completed, acknowledged and signed by our customer, so get to know them!
• Taking pictures and/or video of our equipment, the event in general and anything else that may be pertinent to our job, such as safety measures or potential issues, damage to equipment or property and receipts of necessary purchases on-site. Making us better is definitely a big part of every job on our team.

ALL WE DO IS EVENTS.

No construction. No commercial building AC or power. No industrial sites unless it's a warehouse hosting a special event. We're unconventional and looking for people who like working with people!
