Summary

Dream Preparatory Academy is seeking a flexible and enthusiastic Floater Teacher Aide to support our classrooms and ensure the smooth operation of daily activities. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education, a cooperative attitude, and the ability to adapt to various classroom environments.

Duties

- Classroom Support: Assist lead teachers in various classrooms, providing support wherever needed, including during lessons, activities, and transitions.
- Supervision: Monitor students during indoor and outdoor activities, ensuring their safety and engagement.
- Preparation: Help prepare and maintain the learning environment, including setting up materials and cleaning up after activities.
- Individual Assistance: Provide one-on-one support to students who need extra help, ensuring they stay on track with their learning goals.
- Observation: Observe students and report any concerns or developmental milestones to the lead teacher.
- Encouragement: Foster a positive and nurturing environment, encouraging student independence and self-confidence in accordance with Montessori principles.
- Substitution: Step in as a substitute teacher when necessary, leading classroom activities and managing student behavior.
- Collaboration: Work closely with lead teachers and other staff members to ensure a cohesive and supportive educational environment.

Requirements

- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; coursework in early childhood education or a related field preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting. Knowledge of Montessori methods is a plus.
- Skills:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work well in a team and adapt to various classroom settings.
- Patience, compassion, and a positive attitude.
- Organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Basic computer skills.
