Job Full Description Job Title: Forklift/Heavy Machine Operator
Location: Lockport, IL
Shift: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Pay Rate: $20/hour
Summary We are seeking experienced forklift/heavy machine operators to join our team in Lockport. The main function of this role is to safely operate industrial trucks or machinery in a warehouse, storage yard, factory, construction site, or similar environment. Operators are responsible for moving product loads efficiently and accurately throughout the facility.
Key Responsibilities - Review product loads for accuracy and ensure timely, complete delivery
- Operate reach trucks and stand-up forklifts safely and effectively
- Perform routine maintenance on vehicles and auxiliary equipment (cleaning, lubricating, fueling)
- Weigh materials or products and record production data on tags or labels
- Signal workers to discharge, dump, or level materials
Required Skills - Ability to operate reach truck and stand-up forklifts
- Strong verbal communication skills and attention to detail
- Team-oriented mindset with problem-solving abilities
- Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, and quality control techniques
Education & Safety Requirements - High School Diploma or GED required
- Steel toe shoes required
- Forklift operator's license required
- 8-10 years of manufacturing experience required
- Background and drug screen required
Additional Requirements - Physical stamina to work in a warehouse/production environment
