Marketing & Design Assistant

Location: Tacoma, WA (On-site preferred)

Compensation: Starting at $25/hour

30-32 hrs/week

Part-Time, with potential to grow into a full-time role

Based in Tacoma, WA, we are looking for a motivated and creative Marketing & Design Assistant to join our close-knit team.

About the Role

This is a great opportunity for a recent or recent-ish college grad looking to grow their marketing and design career with meaningful, hands-on experience in a fast-moving company. You’ll work closely with our Marketing & Design Manager to support branding, email campaigns, content creation, and more. If you’re a self-starter with a positive attitude, strong organizational skills, and a sharp design eye—this could be the perfect fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the creation of marketing and promotional materials using Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator
• Organize and manage digital assets, file systems, and project folders (Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.)
• Spearhead email marketing efforts: build and schedule campaigns, maintain lists, and monitor performance
• Support social media content creation and coordination
• Collaborate with marketing, sales and education teams to execute campaigns and event materials
• Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas
• Handle general marketing support and administrative tasks as needed

What We're Looking For

• Ability to work in-office 2 days per week: Tuesdays and Wednesdays
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
• Familiarity with Google Drive and Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent organizational and file management skills
• Strong written and verbal communication: QA/QC skills
• A self-starter with the ability to take initiative and follow through
• Creative mindset with attention to detail
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Design, Communications, or related field preferred
• Experience with email marketing platforms (e.g. Mailchimp, HubSpot, Sugar or similar) a HUGE plus
• Experience with video editing (Adobe Premiere and After Effects) a plus
