Teacher Job Description
Hinsdale District 86 is looking for multiple Social Studies teachers at Hinsdale Central High School for the 2026-2027 school year. The ideal candidate possesses strong content knowledge and the willingness and ability to teach students at differing academic levels across the discipline. This position is within the Social Studies Department and may teach a variety of courses, including World Cultures, US History, AP USH, Psychology, and/or Civics.
Anticipated openings will be posted on the District 86 website in January 2025. Screener interviews are scheduled to begin in late February. Interested candidates should submit a completed application by February 20, 2026, for review. No interviews will occur prior to this time.
Candidates must have a valid State of Illinois PEL with a Social Studies teaching endorsement.
