GPAC is partnered with a well-established steel Manufacturing company. They are searching for a Structural Steel Detailer to join their family run company. Our client company manufactures and installs structural steel for the commercial construction industry. Due to continued growth our client company needs to hire a motivated talented Structural Steel Detailer with strong computer skills with an emphasis on drafting and checking. As a Steel Detailer, you will be responsible for creating structural steel drawings for our fabrication shop and erection crews, and checking other detailers work to ensure quality.

Steel Detailer Position Duties and Responsibilities:

Detail shop fabrication drawings for structural beams, columns, stairs, handrails, and trusses.
Generating a bill of materials for shop drawings
Coordinate drawings from design to release for fabrication
Working with project engineers to clarify approval drawings
Review RFI's
Ensuring drawings are in compliance with AISC standards of steel construction
BIM modeling

Preferred Qualifications Experience with AutoCAD, SDS/2, BIM modeling software

Background in steel construction
Associates degree with a focus in architecture or construction management
