Job Description

This position is responsible for daytoday operation of a Hot Pit loader. Candidate must have experience in operating heavy equipment. Able to operate a frontend loader digging and moving hot material.

• Check all fluids for proper levels before operating.
• Keep loader clean inside and out.
• Perform any necessary routine maintenance on loader such as lubricating and fueling.
• Reporting parts or supplies needed to do the repairs.
• Follow all Safety Operating Guidelines 
• Perform related work and additional duties as requested/assigned by supervisor

Qualifications :

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 3 years experience as a heavy equipment operator.
• Ability to do manual labor in an outdoor environment that may include elevated areas and extreme weather conditions.
• Good communications skills and the ability to read operating instructions.
• Proactive in SAFETY and works well in a team environment. 
• Experience in using a Loader Operator required
• Mechanical ability a plus
• Good work ethic selfmotivated
• Knowledge and experience operating front end wheel loaders; excavators; screening crushing and material conveying systems; street sweepers; skid steers; and other similar equipment. 
• Knowledge of equipment inspection preventative maintenance and cleaning standards.
• Ability to work independently in a safe and efficient manner and to follow safety policies and procedures.
• Solid communication problemsolving and leadership skills
• Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
• Must be able to work outdoors in hot and cold temperatures
• Must be able to work in a busy often distracting work environment.
• Must be able to liftup to 50 pounds unassisted on an occasional basis.
• Must be able to sit for long periods of time.
• Must be able to stand or walk for long periods of time.
