The Director of Human Resources (company size 45 employees/partners) is a leader responsible for executing human resource strategy in support of the overall business plan. This includes areas of talent management, organizational development, performance management, employee relations, compensation and benefits, & compliance. Reports to the CEO.
Key Responsibilities:
· Talent acquisition: full-cycle recruiting.
· Employee job performance management: work with managers on performance reviews, career pathing, licenses of our tradespeople, disciplinary actions, and retention practices.
· Work with SolarCraft’s health & welfare insurance brokers to ensure competitive benefits programs.
· Ensure legal compliance by monitoring human resource federal and state requirements and maintaining records.
· Lead employee engagement initiatives to foster a high-performance, positive workplace culture.
· Partner with leadership to drive organizational change and ensure successful change management.
· Oversee learning and development programs that enhance employee skills, leadership capabilities and licensing.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, business, or related field
· Professional HR certification preferred.
· Minimum of 6 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.
· Proven track record of developing and implementing HR strategies that support business goals.
· Strong understanding of CA & Fed employment laws, practices, and regulatory compliance.
· Exceptional leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
· Experience with HRIS, payroll processing and data-driven HR management tools.
