Job Description

• Experience Required: 0 to 6 months
• Education Desired: High school diploma or equivalent, with current enrollment in an ACPE-accredited pharmacy degree program
• Certification or Licensing Required: Active in-state Pharmacy Intern License
• Lifting Requirement: Ability to lift up to 25 pounds

Key Responsibilities

• Manage inventory levels by placing online orders, adjusting order points, order quantities, and maintaining accurate on-hand counts.
• Create a tidy work environment to uphold company and government standards.
• File written prescriptions daily for organized record-keeping.
• Assist colleagues with tasks to ensure smooth department operations.
• Analyze service metrics and collaborate on action plans to enhance performance.
• Perform all essential duties of a Pharmacy Technician.
• Greet and assist patients warmly and compassionately at all pharmacy entry points.
• Deliver exemplary patient care by meeting their needs with enthusiasm and respect while processing orders both in-person and over the phone.
• Complete sales transactions accurately using the cash register, following company procedures.
• Support the safe dispensing of medications and medical equipment by adhering to quality assurance policies and procedures.
• Comply with all company policies, including HIPAA and regulations for pseudoephedrine.
• Input patient information and insurance details accurately.
• Enter prescription data, including necessary calculations, directions, and specifications for medications and equipment.
• Ensure proper documentation for third-party insurance communications and conduct thorough profile reviews.
• Alert pharmacists regarding drug utilization reviews, resolve third-party rejections, and manage refills effectively.
• Facilitate medical expense report processing.
• Contribute to company initiatives and programs with enthusiasm.
