Job Title: IT Project Manager Location: Lawrenceville, GA (Onsite) Duration: Long Term Contract Job Description: Service providers shall provide experienced, highly skilled IT Project Managers that will meet the following objectives and responsibilities: Manage the planning, assignment, and execution of project tasks using Microsoft Project Professional and other standard tools. Deliver services in accordance with best practices for project delivery, executing all of the following: Organize and lead a matrixed cross-functional project team to meet project objectives. Create and maintain key project artifacts throughout the project lifecycle. Apply strong skills and experience in issue resolution, influencing team members and other stakeholders, conducting difficult negotiations, and managing stringent timelines for project deliverables. Monitor, identify and effectively mitigate risks to minimize impacts to project scope, schedule, costs, or quality. Escalate significant issues to customers and executive management. Effectively manage project scope and deliverable requirements. Service providers shall ensure that IT Project Managers assigned to any County project pursuant to this request for proposal have the relevant, demonstrated skills, experience, and expertise to provide such project support services, including the following skills and expertise: Bachelor's degree or equivalent, eight (8) years of information technology project management or related experience. Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification is mandatory. Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) or similar certification is preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office, Visio, and SharePoint is required. In-depth understanding and practical experience managing projects using Waterfall and Agile development methodology principles. Excellent and very persuasive oral and written communication and Executive presentation skills.
