POSITION SUMMARY

We seek a talented, client-service oriented Junior Paralegal to join our Chicago office paralegal team. This is an entry-level role, ideally suited for candidates with 1-3 years of paralegal or legal assistant experience. The position primarily supports litigation, but may also assist various practice groups including investigations and government controversies. Qualified candidates should have excellent attention to detail, strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to follow directions. Overtime and travel may be required.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Providing comprehensive case support and management. Drafting and proofreading correspondence, notices, legal documents, and forms. Organizing electronic and paper documents for depositions, hearings, and trials. Filing documents in courts and jurisdictions as needed. Conducting research as required. Assisting with case team document maintenance and organization. Preparing legal briefs and documents. Monitoring deadlines, court filings, correspondence, deposition transcripts, exhibits, and expert materials. Searching and preserving information within document review platforms. Organizing and preparing trial materials, including filings, witness prep, exhibits, and demonstratives. Attending and assisting at trials and arbitrations. Performing other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's degree or paralegal certification from an ABA-accredited institution. Flexibility for overtime and out-of-town travel. Ability to prioritize tasks independently and efficiently. Superior organizational skills and keen attention to detail. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite preferred. Strong proofreading, communication, and client service skills. Additional Information This job description provides an overview of primary duties.
