\nJOB SUMMARY:\nThe Lead Software Engineer will have a unique opportunity to utilize Flutter as a cross-platform language to build large mobile applications and experiences in support of our theme parks. This role will work with our mobile team to design and build the next generation of our mobile applications that will be leveraged across our parks and venues around the world. The Lead Software Engineer will work closely with other app development and technical teams. The role will provide highly specialized skills and knowledge that will enable the successful design, code, and delivery of complex solutions for Digital Technology in support of business requirements. This includes writing, coding, testing, analyzing, and supporting complex codebases along with configuration management of new Flutter applications. The Lead Software Engineer will also research, design, document, and modify Flutter specifications throughout the life cycle of our applications.
\nMAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:\nBachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related subject.
\nEXPERIENCE:\nExperience leading global enterprise engineering projects or teams is a plus. A self-starter with the ability to manage a broad workload and accommodate change with a proven ability to deliver results.
\nThe Lead Software Engineer will understand vision, communicate possibilities of technology solutions along with roadmaps to achieving the results. The Lead Software Engineer will work closely with application owners and solution architects to design integrations with a focus on security, performance, reliability, reusability, scalability, and maintainability. The Lead Software Engineer will also build an in-depth technical knowledge of Universal’s global portfolio of systems and platforms and act as a subject matter expert for architects, delivery teams and support teams. The Lead Software Engineer will be a subject matter expert across mobile platforms and will influence the technical direction the mobile organization is driving to and will possess excellent communication and collaboration skills.
