Overview

Job Title: Skills Trainer
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm (No weekends. No nights)
Pay: $40,000-$45,000/yr
Location: Crossroads Commons; A program of Crossroads Continuum

Job Summary: Crossroads Continuum is looking for Skills Trainers to join our Community Based Day Services program serving adults with autism and developmental disabilities. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a new program and make a significant impact on the lives of our participants!

Requirements:

• High School diploma required; Bachelor’s degree in education, behavior analysis, or related field preferred
• 1-2 years of experience in the field of autism, education, or human services preferred
• Valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, and reliable transportation required
• Successful candidates will be required to complete a background check including references, CORI, and fingerprinting
• Ability to physically work with the client (may involve running, squatting, lifting, prompting, and physical management)

Main Responsibilities:

• Provide case management to program participants
• Provide personal care and assistance to individuals consistent with both their physical needs and defined support plans
• Implement community-based activities that promote personal choice, community inclusion, dignity, and respect while enhancing personal skill development
• Participate in and implement Behavior Management Guidelines
• Implement programming to meet the participant’s ISP goals
• Support program participants at community volunteer and vocational opportunities
