Job Description

The Workforce Group Team is currently seeking a motivated and experienced Logistics Staging Manager to oversee the staging and management of logistics providing critical support during disaster emergencies. As a Logistics Staging you will be responsible for coordinating and managing the staging area operations during disaster response activities. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the efficient and effective movement of supplies, equipment, and personnel to support relief and recovery efforts.

Location: TBD based on activation

Availability:

Ideal candidates for these response missions will be available to deploy within 48 to 72 hours of notification. These are contract positions and, if activated, will require travel on short notice, generally lasting from several days to a few weeks and possibly 30 days or more, depending on the disaster response needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the setup, operation, and breakdown of logistics staging areas during disaster response deployments.
  • Coordinate the receipt, storage, and distribution of supplies and equipment.
  • Manage a team of logistics personnel, including training and supervising staff to ensure efficient operations.
  • Develop and implement staging area protocols and procedures to maintain a safe and organized environment.
  • Collaborate with other emergency response teams, agencies, and stakeholders to ensure seamless logistics operations.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate resupply efforts as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of all logistics activities, including inventory management and equipment usage.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety standards and guidelines during operations.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field preferred. Proven experience in logistics management, preferably in emergency or disaster response settings. Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Proficiency in logistics software and inventory management systems.
  • Willingness to be on emergency standby and deployed at short notice.

Working Conditions: This position requires the ability to work in various environmental conditions, including outdoor settings and potentially hazardous environments. Flexibility to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed during emergency deployments. Must be able to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods.
