Compensation & Benefits:

• Hourly Pay Range: $20.00 – 22.00 per hour

• On-site in Annapolis Junction, MD
• Monday through Friday (first shift/full-time)
• Daily Schedule is 7:00am – 3:30pm

• Prior experience in a mail related job. Examples include mailroom operations, USPS – Post Office, Corporate Mailroom operations.
• Experience with mail related equipment such as postage meters, mail meters, mail sorting machines, mail folding machines.
• Experience in sorting mail and/or screening mail.

• Previous experience as a mail clerk or in a mail processing environment is required.
• Knowledge of mail processing equipment operation and maintenance is required.
• Prior experience in sorting mail, screening mail, metering mail and other mail related experience preferred.
• Effective verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work under deadline pressure and adjust to a changing environment.
• Ability to deal with clients, customers, and co-workers courteously and effectively.
• Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs.
• Must be able to work in a role that requires frequent walking, standing, bending, reaching and carrying.
• Prior Warehouse experience is a plus but not required.

• Set up and run the mailing equipment- Card Printers, Folders, Inserts, Inkjet and Meter Machines
• Collate packets according to the specifications of the work order.
• Assembles kits or other materials for mailing to clients’ members.
• Mail sorting and preparation.
• Accurately meters outgoing mail to the appropriate client accounts as designated in the mail processing center and warehouse.
• Understands current knowledge of U.S. Postal Service (USPS) regulations for mailings.
• Follow all safety rules and regulations as well as housekeeping policy to ensure an orderly and safe working environment.
• Adheres to organizational and departmental policies and procedures.
• Utilizes appropriate interpersonal skills when interacting with staff and visitors to ensure all are treated with respect and dignity.
• Maintains flexibility and performs related duties as requested or assigned.
• Help backup warehouse staff when needed by pulling, packing, and metering orders. This will include the use of forklifts and pallet jacks.
