The Tutor Doctor of Morris County (TDMC) team is searching for a dynamic Elementary / Middle School and or High School Math Teacher to ignite the academic journey of students. As a boutique, one-on-one, in-home, and online tutoring company, our mission is to transform students' lives. This is not to say that we won’t take Virtual Tutoring clients, because we will do that as well. It is just important that the job applicant understands that many tutoring clients are insisting on in-person sessions as their preferred option.

Job Requirements:
- FOR THIS PARTICULAR JOB POST: YOU MUST HAVE A NJ STANDARD TEACHING CERTIFICATION OR A NJ SPECIAL EDUCATION CERTIFICATION.

- Tutor Doctor is not a brick-and-mortar tutoring center. We go and meet the students where they are (Live or Virtual). The Long Valley address is simply where the home office is located.
- Ability to teach 1st – 8th grade Mathematics concepts.
OR
- Ability to teach 9th-12th grade Mathematics concepts.
including algebra, geometry, algebra 2, trig, pre-calc, calculus.
- Quickly assess a student's level using your methods and evidence provided by the client.
- Assist with test preparation (tests, quizzes, etc.).
- Aid students with homework and lessons during tutoring sessions.
- Motivate students to study and stay on task.
- Create or follow lesson plans depending on the student's needs.
- Teach and reinforce classroom concepts taught at their school.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and collaborate effectively with families and colleagues.
- Be willing to meet clients face-to-face in mutually agreed-upon locations.
- Travel within a reasonable distance from your home when necessary.
- Utilize online tools for virtual instruction when required.
Experience:
- NJ Standard Teaching Certification or NJ Special Education Certification teachers (active or retired).
- Prior tutoring experience preferred but not necessary.
- Experience in preparing tutoring lessons for both in-person and virtual settings is preferred.
Job Type: Part-time
Salary: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 1 – 4 per week
