ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Deburr finished product to ensure safe handling Introduce linear or circumferential grain to raw material using a timesaver, tube grinder, or other handheld pneumatic tools to achieve project-specified finish requirementsBlend existing grain of material to be continuous throughout weld joint by selecting appropriate tools and consumables in compliance with project specifications and/or applicable NOMMA standardsReview blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications and sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece and sequence of operations Inspect quality of manufactured product to ensure specification complianceMaintain a safe and well-organized working environment and follow all safety procedures outlined in the safety manualOther duties as assignedREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:At least one year of experience in a metal fabrication shopBasic metal finishing knowledgePREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:3-5 years of experience in directional metal finishing on architectural railsPHYSICAL DEMANDS:Ability to stand/walk up to 10 hours a day, 5-6 days a weekAbility to lift 50 pounds, unassisted
