What You'll Do
As a Mold Designer, you'll play a critical role in designing and developing Class A molds for both new and legacy products. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams-including product development, tooling engineers, and production-to deliver innovative mold solutions that meet demanding engineering and production requirements.
Your responsibilities will include:
Designing complex multi-cavity, hot runner, and high-performance molds using SolidWorks.
Applying expert knowledge of injection molding processes to optimize flow, cooling, ejection, and cycle time.
Leading design reviews and ensuring compliance with internal and industry standards.
Supporting project timelines, cost estimates, and continuous improvement initiatives.
What You Bring
Associate degree or certificate in Plastics Engineering, Mold Design, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
3-5 years of experience in plastic injection mold design.
Proficiency in SolidWorks and familiarity with CAM integration and CNC machining.
Strong understanding of GD&T, DFM principles, and mold performance optimization.
Excellent problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset.
