Commercial Electrician for installing, designing, and maintaining electrical systems in commercial facilities. The job description entails taking responsibility for planning and diagramming electric systems. The other duties include – executing plans of electrical wiring after understanding the blueprints and building schematics; fixing lighting, intercom and other electrical systems; installing electrical fixtures including alarm and other security systems, installing safety and distribution components; preparing and assembling conduits, preventing system shutdown, and identifying hazards and substituting, defective parts with new units.
Other skills – experience in commercial or industrial electrical systems; demonstrable abilities to use electrical and hand tools; thorough knowledge of safety procedures and other legal regulations; and excellent physical condition. The occupation typically requires extensive education by way of apprenticeships. In addition, licensure is also required.
