About the Role:
Our client is seeking a Network Engineer with a strong foundation in both network administration and systems administration to join a dynamic and collaborative IT team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys solving complex problems, and is eager to take ownership of projects involving new and emerging technologies.
What You’ll Do:
• Design, implement, and maintain secure and scalable network infrastructure (routing, switching, firewalls, segmentation).
• Support and administer Windows and/or Linux-based systems, including patching, performance tuning, and backup strategies.
• Lead IT infrastructure projects from concept to completion, often involving unfamiliar or cutting-edge technologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, including executive leadership.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network and system issues, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
• Maintain documentation for systems, networks, and processes to support operational continuity and knowledge sharing.
• Contribute to the development and enforcement of IT policies, procedures, and best practices.

Preferred Qualifications:
• 5+ years of experience in network and systems administration roles.
• Hands-on experience with firewalls, switches, routers, and network segmentation.
• Familiarity with virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), cloud platforms (Azure, AWS), and scripting (PowerShell, Python).
• Certifications such as CCNP, CompTIA Network+, or Microsoft certifications are a plus.
