Responsibilities
Develop and implement tradingstrategies focused on the U.S. gas markets, utilizing fundamental and technicalanalysis to identify opportunities.
Demonstrate a proven track recordof trading in the gas market, showcasing your ability to identify andcapitalize on market opportunities.
Conduct in-depth analysis ofsupply and demand dynamics, pricing trends, and market fundamentals to informtrading decisions.
Responsible for the dailyreporting around commodity risk including comprehensive reporting aroundmark-to-market book values, position reporting, shift analysis and general risktroubleshooting for the natural gas business unit.
Daily review, approval,distribution, reconciliation, and maintenance of all commodity contracts.
Implement effective riskmanagement strategies to mitigate exposure and ensure adherence to company riskparameters.
Execute nomination and schedulingactivities to move supply when applicable.
Develop regional supply expertiseto include utility tariffs, balancing restrictions, regional constraints, etc.
Proactively initiate competitivebid situations for new supply contracts based on market opportunities.
Participate in newcustomer/prospect activities including Request for Proposal (RFP) responses.
Proactively monitor all activitiesand issues related to the customer.
Build and maintain relationshipswith counterparties, brokers, and industry contacts to facilitate tradingactivities and stay updated on market developments.
Requirements
Bachelor'sdegree in finance, economics, or a related field.
Proven trackrecord of trading in the gas industry, demonstrating an ability to generateconsistent profits.
Stronganalytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in data analysis andmarket modeling.
Proficient inthe use of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Must havestrong analytical skills, the ability to grasp new concepts, and be detailedoriented.
