Job Description
Our well-established Oral Surgery practice is looking for a full time Surgical Assistant.
We are currently seeking an oral surgery assistant who is dynamic, enthusiastic, and shares our commitment to patient care. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of oral surgery experience and actively participates in oral surgery procedures. They must possess strong attention to detail and a desire for working closely as a member of a team.
Oral Surgery Assistant Responsibilities
* Collaborate with oral surgeon and team to provide excellent patient care
*Surgical set ups for all oral surgery procedures (tooth removal, implants, biopsies)
*Review patient medical and dental histories
*Give written and verbal pre-op and post-op instructions, including medication instructions and precautions
*Record vital signs
*Respond appropriately to medical emergencies
* Take panoramic and CBCT imaging
*Prepare medical information requests for oral surgeon
*Practice required infection control processes
*Sterilize and process instruments
*Assist surgeon in completing chart notes
*Maintain inventory
*Maintain equipment
*Keep office clean and organized
Qualifications
*Excellent communication abilities
*Exceptional organizational skills
*Strong attention to detail
*Proficient in using electronic record systems
*Desire to learn new technologies (Trios Scanner/X-Nav)
*Reliable and professional
REQUIRED (Oral Surgery Assistant)
*BLS certification
*Certified dental assistant
PREFERRED (Oral Surgery Assistant)
*DAANCE- must be willing to get certification within a year
*ACLS/PALS- must be willing to get certification
(compensation dependent on acquiring certifications)

4-day work week. Tuesday-Friday.
$25-$30 per hour based on experience and qualification
Expected hours: averaging 36-38 hours per week.
