Schedule: Monday through Friday Pay Rate: $50,000 per year Our client, a fast paced small law firm, is looking for a Paralegal to add to their team! Paralegal Responsibilties: File legal documents electronically with courts and administrative agencies, ensuring filings meet all procedural deadlines and formatting requirements. Assist with onboarding new clients by gathering intake forms and initial documentation; maintain ongoing communication to support case progress and attorney needs. Create exhibit binders both physically and through third party vendors. Appear in zoom hearings and take brief notes/give input on panel reaction. Perform limited legal research. Review drafts and fix formatting issues of documentation on request. Correspond with stakeholders regarding tech support during and prior to hearings, document productions, and administrative questions. Find specific documents within a client’s file at attorney request. Do quick research, resource management, client management, vendor management, witness management, and document searches while the attorneys are in a hearing. Read every pleading, motion, order, etc. that comes through the portal in order to provide attorneys with an extremely brief summary on the document prior to their own review. Paralegal Qualifications: High school diploma required. 1-2 years of experience working as a paralegal or Paralegal Certificate. Strong attention to detail. Able to take direction and work independently with little or no supervision. This is full time, fully onsite role located in Downtown Chicago, IL.
