• Contract Duration: 6-8 weeks | contract-to-hire
• Worksite Location: Robbinsdale, MN
• Compensation: $25.00-31.00 per hour
• Schedule: 40 hours per week | Start between 7:30-9:00am, Every Saturday & Sunday/Some Evening Coverage | Weekend Shifts Required

What you’ll do as the Patient Financial Advocate:

• Conduct thorough financial screenings to identify payment options and eligibility for assistance programs.
• Educate patients and families on insurance benefits, coverage levels, billing, and collection processes.
• Obtain insurance authorizations for services and secure payment arrangements, including co-payments and coinsurance.
• Provide accurate cost estimates and ensure accounts are cleared for billing before discharge or major outpatient services.
• Identify and guide patients through financial assistance opportunities, including Medical Assistance applications.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and insurance carriers to resolve questions and ensure timely approvals.
• Support efficient billing and collection operations while delivering excellent customer service.

What you’ll bring to the Patient Financial Advocate role:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.
• 1–2 years of experience in patient financial advocacy, registration, or accounting.
• Strong background in customer service with direct patient-facing financial interactions.
• Knowledge of insurance processes and government assistance programs, with prior experience obtaining service authorizations preferred.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills with the ability to manage conflict and problem-solve effectively.
• Ability to work well under pressure while demonstrating tact, and empathy
