Job Description:Responsible for observation and supportive care to an assigned patient to assure a safe and nurturing environment for those patients who may be deemed as a potential safety risk. Work Experience Previous experience in caring for patients or equivalent experience in a similar setting preferred, or the ability to demonstrate achievement of unit specific competencies.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide continuous observation of assigned patients to ensure their safety and prevent self-harm or injury.
Communicate effectively with the healthcare team regarding the patient’s condition, behavior, and any concerns.
Assist patients with non-clinical needs, such as companionship, emotional support, and basic comfort measures.
Follow hospital or facility protocols to maintain a safe environment for the patient.
Notify nursing staff immediately of any changes in the patient’s condition or behavior.
Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
Document observations and interactions as required by facility policies.
Support the healthcare team by fostering a calm and positive environment for the patient.
This position is a casual position.
