Our ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and is skilled at multitasking, both independently and as part of a team. This position requires a minimum commitment of 18 hours per month, with the opportunity to work at any of our 9 convenient locations. Primary Responsibilities: Complete thorough patient assessments and physical examinations Collect and document clinical data including vital signs, specimens, and point-of-care tests Provide occupational medicine assessments Ensure accurate patient coding and maintain detailed medical reports Lead the clinical team on-site Requirements: Valid New York license and registration as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Current DEA certification Education: Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program NCCPA registration Appropriate state licensure as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience in an Emergency Department or Urgent Care setting Strong interpersonal skills and critical judgment Ability to respond calmly and effectively to emergencies Familiarity with the scientific process and national standards of care for patient management Proficient with computerized medical recordkeeping and billing systems Professional demeanor and excellent verbal and written communication skills Commitment to HIPAA compliance Benefits: Hands-on training opportunities Growth potential within the Albany Medical Center family Accessible via major public transportation routes Occurrence Based Malpractice Insurance Albany Medical Center has been recognized as the Best Hospital in the Capital Region for two consecutive years.
