Pharmacist

Job Description

This role involves assessing patients' general pharmaceutical needs, planning for pharmaceutical services provision, and participating in the overall plan of care. You will also contribute to the quality assessment and improvement plan by receiving physician prescription orders and evaluating their appropriateness concerning dosage, drug choice, potential drug interactions, route of administration, and stability.

Responsibilities

• Receive and evaluate physician prescription orders for appropriateness in dosage, drug choice, potential interactions, route, and stability.

Essential Skills

• Pharmacy expertise with a degree in pharmacy or PharmD.
• At least 3 years of experience in mail order, retail, or hospital pharmacy.
• Current state’s Pharmacist license with multi-state licensure preferred or the ability to quickly obtain additional state licensure.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Proficiency in data entry and customer service.
• Experience in specialty pharmacy.

Work Environment

This role is primarily remote but may include hybrid work, requiring attendance at offices located in Sacramento, CA, Houston, TX, or another specified location. Candidates must be available for any shifts needed between 8 AM and 9 PM EST, with a typical 8-hour day. A minimum of 1-2 days per week is required, up to 40 hours. Onsite work may be necessary during the training and transitioning period to assist with state-specific requirements. Team interactions will primarily occur through TEAMS chat or phone calls due to the remote work setting.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $70.00/hr.
