Planon Functional Consultant (IWMS)

Location: Calgary (Airdrie), AB (Hybrid)

Job Type: Contract (3–6 months)

Your New Role

We are currently seeking a Planon Functional Consultant (or equivalent IWMS expert) for a 3–6 month contract engagement with a leading organization in the Calgary region. This role is ideal for a hands-on, practical user of Planon or comparable Integrated Workplace Management Systems (IWMS) such as Archibus , FM:Systems , or Trimble Manhattan .

The organization has implemented Planon as a smart building and facilities management platform, but it is currently underutilized. You will be responsible for assessing the current state of the system, identifying opportunities for optimization, and ensuring the platform is configured and used to its full potential.

What You'll Be Doing

• Conduct a comprehensive review of the current Planon (or similar IWMS) implementation.
• Identify gaps in data, configuration, and usage across facilities documentation and asset management.
• Recommend and implement improvements to enhance system functionality and user adoption.
• Work closely with Facilities Services leadership to align system capabilities with operational needs.
• Troubleshoot issues and ensure the system is optimized for managing capital real estate assets.
• Provide guidance on best practices for IWMS usage and customization.

What You'll Need to Succeed

• Proven experience as a Functional Consultant or Business Analyst with Planon or similar IWMS platforms (e.g., Archibus, FM:Systems, Trimble Manhattan).
• Strong understanding of facilities management, real estate operations, and smart building technologies.
• Ability to assess system configurations and make practical recommendations for improvement.
• Experience working with end users to drive adoption and ensure effective use of IWMS tools.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to work independently in a hybrid environment.
