Department: Thieme Science Start: as soon as possible Work hours: full time Your new passion Portfolio management : Developing and implementing the business strategy for your portfolio of journals. Journal development : Manage and grow a key publishing portfolio by defining journal development plans aligned with our Thieme Science strategy. Quality and improvement: Continuous quality management and improvement on journal level regarding decisions on resources and service standards. Performance management: Ensure that KPIs are regularly monitored, reported and met, and that action is taken as needed. Networking, research community: Developing and expanding a network in our target groups. Collaboration: close and coordinated collaboration with colleagues within the international Thieme Science Unit. You inspire us with this PhD or master’s degree preferably in life sciences or medicine Minimum 3-5 years of experience in the international academic publishing industry. Experience in transitioning journals to open access Expert in networking with societies and other key players Excellent knowledge of all aspects of publishing ethics, editorial policy, procedures, and practice Strategic thinking and analytical skills plus an entrepreneurial mindset Outstanding communication skills with stakeholders at all levels in written and spoken English.
