Do you have a sixth sense for spotting the best deals? Can you navigate vendor negotiations with the precision of a seasoned auctioneer? Are you the kind of person who finds joy in spreadsheets and cost breakdowns? (We see you ?) — then you just might be the Purchasing Specialist we’re looking for.

Our non-profit org is facing an overload of work (read: we’re thriving, but swamped), and we need an expert buyer to help us manage a high volume of purchase orders and vendor relationships with grace, grit, and a bit of caffeine.

? What You'll Be Doing:

• Managing high-volume purchasing like a pro

• Handling formal bids from start to finish, including bid packet prep and document wrangling

• Conducting cost analyses that would make any finance team swoon

• Negotiating pricing with vendors without breaking a sweat

• Supporting departments across the org with all their buying needs

• Maintaining and vetting strong vendor relationships — you're part buyer, part detective

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams and staying calm under pressure

• Working magic in MS Office Suite and Workday’s procurement functions

? What You Bring to the Table:

• 3+ years of purchasing experience , especially if you’ve got that AA or Bachelor’s degree

• Strong experience in buying, budgeting, and making every dollar count

• You’ve danced with tight deadlines and lived to tell the tale

• Stellar communication skills (you’ll be chatting with vendors and internal teams)

• Non-profit experience? That’s a cherry on top

• the individual’s skill sets, experience and training;
• licensure and certification requirements;

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco by Highspring believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
