Job Description

A school district in South Portland, ME is seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) credentials to provide services during the Extended School Year (ESY). This contract position supports students from kindergarten through 12th grade.

Assignment Details:

• Location: South Portland, ME
• Dates: June 30, 2025 through August 7, 2025
• Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM (16 hours per week)
• Student Population: K-12
• Position Type: ESY contract

Responsibilities:

• Deliver speech and language therapy services aligned with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for K-12 students
• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to promote student communication development
• Document progress and maintain accurate records of therapy sessions and outcomes
• Participate in relevant meetings and provide recommendations for continued services

Qualifications and Experience:

• Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology
• Experience working with school-aged children across K-12 grade levels
• Knowledge of evidence-based therapy techniques tailored to diverse communication needs
• Familiarity with special education regulations and Individualized Education Program processes
