Welcome to Buckeye Union School District, where we prioritize safety, community, and the educational growth of our students. In our mission to provide a reliable and secure transportation service, we are looking for a responsible and compassionate School Bus Driver to join our dedicated team. This role is critical in ensuring that students arrive safely and punctually, ready to learn and participate in school activities.

Position is 4 hours per day

Hours are: 6:45 a.m. - 8:45 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. ( Wednesday afternoon hours are 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.)

or

Hours are 7:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. (Friday afternoon hours are 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.)

As a School Bus Driver, you will play a vital role in our education system. Your primary responsibility will be to transport students between home and school, as well as to and from school-sponsored events securely and efficiently. This position requires a strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and active communication with both school officials and parents. You will be the first point of contact in the mornings and afternoons for many of our families, representing our district's commitment to nurturing a supportive educational environment.

• Operate school buses safely along designated routes, adhering to predetermined schedules
• Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure operational safety
• Maintain a clean and mechanically-sound bus at all times
• Ensure the safety of all students; supervise loading and unloading of students
• Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and school administration
• Manage student behavior and report any incidents in accordance with school policies
• Completes necessary daily inspection as required by the State Department of Education and the California Highway Patrol

• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
• Valide school bus driving certificate
• A clean driving record and background check
• High school diploma or equivalent
