Job Description
ESSENTIAL JOB TASKS - Process Request for Quotations. Obtain information given from customer service and sales to build quotes based on data provided.
- Consult with clients, vendors, and personnel in other departments to discuss or formulate estimates and resolve issues.
- Update existing quotes based on changes made or time, such as price increases.
- Design cartons by using dimensions provided by customer service and sales team.
- May be responsible for outsourcing quotes such as freight or board that isn't provided from normal suppliers to assure the right costs are being built.
- File quotes so numbers are aligned.
- Determine the different capabilities between plants and what aspects of printing go where to be ran the most efficient way.
- Design spreadsheets to distribute information and to better configure calculations.
- Oversee quotations and distribution of work by other estimators.
- Enforce that operations conform to Rohrer, federal, state, and local laws, rules and regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS - Previous experience within the printing/thermoforming industry preferred.
